The right-rear failed structurally on the inboard sidewall, where the tread joins the sidewall, after just 14,000 miles. It popped so loud it scared the hell out of me and debris slammed the bottom of the car so hard it felt as if I ran over a chunk of lumber or something. Geez! Don't buy these unreliable things. Dangerous!
Great overall performance. Where it is lacking is in the durability area. I have now gone through 5 of these and when you hit a pot hole and it doesn't necessarily need to be large one, these tires will go. I have also had the Good Year Eagles as well and they are similar in terms of durability. Hopefully the tire developers can come up with a better side wall than steel to give some added flexibility so they don't pop so easily. I also admit I live in NJ.
Good tires.
This tire is very noisy and wore out after only 12K miles. This is a factory tire on 2011 BMW 328xi series.
We live in an area that gets cold temperatures during the winter, a set of dedicated winter tires can make a world of difference. Contrary to popular belief, it's not the tread that makes all the difference, it's the rubber. Even if your daily driver has all-wheel drive, traction control, and a really great set of all-season tires, it might not go anywhere if cold temperatures turn your tires into rocks.
All American Brake & Tire can help you find the tire that fits your performance and budget needs.
